Rough Start

Well its been a rough start of the season so far for the Dbacks. My hopes are still high though, with Chris Young,  Daniel Hudson and Stephen Drew all trying to get healthy.

I am very happy about Cody Ransom's hot start this year this puts some pressure on Ryan Roberts, we'll have to see if this maybe puts a nice hot streak in his bat if not I fear Roberts may lose his job at 3rd. Along with Ransom being a nice surprise so has young starter Wade Miley filling in for injured Daniel Hudson.
I have high hopes for the upcoming games, we have a couple games left in this series against the Cardinals. The next series starts on Friday and is against the Giants, time for some catch up in the NL West standings.
Tonights matchup is Ian Kennedy vs Jake Westbrook
Tomorrow is Wade Miley vs ??? (mlb.com is undecided)

Stephen Drew

Heard some exciting news that Stephen Drew is on track to play this 2012 season and with the possibility of playing Opening Day. Stephen Drew broke his right ankle sliding into home plate against Carloz Gomez of the Milwaukee Brewers who broke his collar bone making the play.

"Hopefully I will start Opening Day, but I don't know," he said. "I'm not going to sit here and lie to your face and be like I'm going to be ready by Opening Day. I can't tell you that right now. I know one thing, I'll be playing this year at some point."

It's just about that time of year when Spring Training is in full force. I am excited because its the first sign of the new season. Hopefully I will get a chance to make it out to a game or two.

Posada Retires!!

After an illustrious 17 years in baseball, New York Yankees catcher Jorge Posada calls it quits.
It's kinda sad to see another one of my favorite players to call it quits, but it had to happen soon or later. He was a great catcher and I think future HoF.

HoF class of 2012

I would like to Congratulate the Hall of Fame class of 2012. It's a small class this year which makes me mad that they didn't pick Morris or Trammel, but what can you do we are at the mercy of the stupid writers association.
