Free-agent outfielder Jason Kubel said negotiations happened very quickly at the end of last week before he officially signed a two-year deal with the D-backs on Tuesday, but the seeds of his interest in coming to Arizona were planted much earlier

When Kubel was offered a reported two-year, $15 million deal over the weekend, he jumped at the opportunity. The deal includes a mutual option for a third year.

Kubel hit .253 with four home runs and a .690 OPS at home in Target Field last year and .288 with an .821 OPS on the road.

I've observed a lot of opinions on this signing but I see this as a positive. I understand Parra is good but Kubel adds a lot of power to the lineup, either way I am excited for this season to start.
